DJ Buck Freelance Services
Welcome to the home of DJ Buck Freelance Services on the World Wide Web. My name is David. You may know me best from my work at Tedium: The Dull Side of the Internet. It's also possible you've heard my music online or on The Dr. Demento Show.
Who is this guy, anyway?
I'm an experienced journalist, copywriter, and multimedia specialist (a fancy way of saying I can do audio, images, and video too). I've spent the last decade working in journalism, SEO copywriting and content creation, and making various multimedia projects like podcasts and popular YouTube videos. My experience runs from local news and radio to online publications and media. I also run a multimedia project called Whistling Nose and The Nostalgia Ward YouTube channel.
What does he do, exactly?
I write stuff, research heavily, and edit with a sharp eye for detail. I also do audio production, scriptwriting, video editing, retro-inspired art commissions, and management consulting. I specialize in creating fantastic stories that make complex topics more accessible, explore the unexpected, and make authentic connections with the audience.
What's his focus and availability?
I'm currently focused on helping clients create awesome human-made content, research-driven projects, podcast development, and producing personal creative multimedia. Available for Freelance writing (news, lists, short form, long form, scripts, editorial), content creation, editing, podcast production, voiceover work, and consulting.

There's also an audio/visual component to this featuring six YouTube shorts and one longer video/podcast episode written by me. Available in the Parallel Radio section of my Whistling Nose website.

8 Bits and Still Brewin’
In my April 2025 Tedium piece, I give my opinions about several NES homebrew games and catch up with where the scene is in 2025. It's a sequel to a 2018 piece and, shockingly, generated a bit of controversy on certain social networks that shall remain unnamed..
