Hold the Pickles: A Schmup for the NES
Coming in 2026 is an NES shoot 'em up that you won't believe. It's called Hold the Pickles. It'll frantic, fun, and delicious. There's not much here right now, but I'll update as things get going. Stay tuned for more updates as they happen.
The Story So Far...
In Hold the Pickles, you play as Jake, a former journalist-turned-contractor. Jake's working on installing new cabinets one day when the world suddenly falls into darkness. On the horizon, Jake spots something utterly bizarre and truly sinister: waves of sentient junk food descending from the skies. The city quickly falls to their attack and presiding over all of it is a giant cheeseburger, with gleaming eyes and a sharp-toothed grin, laughing maniacllly above it all. With his tool belt, trusty nail gun, and a jetpack (hey, it's an NES game - just go with it), Jake takes to the skies to battle the junk food menace.
